In 2020 Sarah was recognized with the highest accolade a young person can achieve for social action or humanitarian efforts – The Diana Award. Established in memory of Diana, Princess of Wales, the Award is given out by the charity of the same name and has the support of both her sons.
The 2020 virtual ceremony was joined by The Duke of Sussex, Harry who also spoke on behalf of his brother, Prince William on what would have been their late mother’s 59th birthday. “You are all doing such incredible work, and at a time of great uncertainty, you have found the power and inspiration inside of you to make a positive mark on the world,” the Duke of Sussex said in a recorded message
In 2020 Sarah received the Blume World Shapers Award. As a recipient Sarah was awarded with a spot on Blume’s Gen Z Advisory Council, quarterly one-on-one sessions with Blume’s founder and instant Soulmate status in Blumetopia. Blume is a self-care brand empowering women to feel comfortable and powerful in their bodies.
She Knows Youth Activist Saving the Planet
In 2020 Sarah was recognized by SheKnows.com as one of 13 youth activists saving the planet. She Knows is a women’s health publication providing insight on the latest news, services, and aspirational stories.
Sarah was awarded the Marin Youth Volunteer of the Year Award on January 9th, 2020. Sarah received a certificate of recognition from Assemblymember Marc Levine and Senator Mike McGuire, a certificate of Special Congressional Recognition from Member of Congress, Jared Huffman, and a certificate of recognition from the County of Marin.
In 2020 Sarah was awarded the Action for Nature Eco-Hero Award in honor of her work with Climate NOW and Fridays For Future. The International Young Eco-Hero Awards program recognizes and encourages children and teens who have completed a project to “foster respect and affection for nature through personal action.”
In 2021 Sarah was recognized as part of the 2021 30 under 30 class for NAAEE. Since 2016, NAAEE's EE 30 Under 30 program has recognized 180 individuals from 40 countries who are making a difference through environmental education.
Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes Honoree
In 2021 Sarah an honoree of the Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes. The Gloria Barron Prize for Young Heroes, a program of the nonprofit organization Young Heroes Project, celebrates inspiring, public-spirited young people from diverse backgrounds all across North America.
In 2021 Sarah received the Invisalign ChangeMakers Award. Invisalign ChangeMakers is an award program developed in partnership with the National 4-H Council to celebrate and highlight teens making an impact in the community
Crystal Geyser Roxane California Youth Sustainability Award
In 2021 Sarah was recognized with the inaugural Crystal Geyser Roxane California Youth Sustainability Champion Award. The California Youth Sustainability Awards by CG Roxane, LLC aims to encourage and support young community leaders who are making a difference for sustainability in their communities by taking action for the planet.
George W. Bush Daily Points of Light Award
In 2022 Sarah received a Daily Points of Light Award from the George W. Bush Points of Light Foundation. “The Points of Light Global Network includes innovative volunteer-mobilizing organizations who serve more than 177 affiliates across 38 countries around the world.”
Corte Madera Volunteer of The Year
In 2020 the Town of Corte Madera named Sarah the Youth Volunteer of The Year for her advocacy work.
ConversationaLIST Environment Honoree
In 2020 Sarah was honored by The ConversationaLIST as a GenZ Honoree helping save the environment. Sarah was invited to speak on a panel with actor Calum Worthy to accept the honor and share her work.
Global Good Awards Canon Change Makers
In 2021 Sarah was recognized as a finalist for the Global Good Awards Canon Change Makers Contest. The award, sponsored by Canon aims to celebrate outstanding individuals across the region who are driving social and environmental change, while encouraging those around them to take a stance on the important issues that affect our world.
Nickelodeon Kid of the Year Semi-Finalist & Presenter
In 2020 Sarah was recognized as a semi-finalist for the Nickelodeon Kid of the Year Award. Sarah was invited to participate in the award show and collaborated with Nickelodeon producers to create a short segment about the actions kids can take the help the environment.
Matt’s Kindness Ripples On Award
In 2021 Sarah was recognized with the Matt’s Kindness Ripples On Award. The award was created after the passing of Matt Kurtz.
